Job Type:
Long-term contract to hire We're looking for a skilled and motivated Journeyman Fire/Life/Safety Technician to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced professionals who want to continue advancing their careers in the fire and life safety industry.
What You'll Do:
Install, test, inspect, troubleshoot, and service commercial and residential fire/life safety alarm systems. Diagnose and repair system issues while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with clients. Maintain accurate documentation and complete service reports. Work safely, professionally, and efficiently while representing the company in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following: WBFAA Graduated Apprentice who has passed the Certification Exam and holds a California Fire/Life/Safety Technician (CFLST) "Blue Card" , or Passed the Journeyman Exam , holds a Blue Card , and has completed the WBFAA Accelerated Apprentice Program . We will also consider applicants who currently hold a Blue Card but are not Graduated Apprentices. Employment will be contingent upon completing the WBFAA Accelerated Apprentice Program and passing the required re-test within the first year of employment.
Additional requirements include:
Minimum 3 years of fire alarm experience Current California Fire/Life Safety Technician (Blue Card) certification Current or ability to obtain a BSIS Alarm Company Employee (ACE) Card (fingerprint background check required) Valid California Driver's License Clean DMV record that qualifies for company insurance Experience installing, testing, and servicing commercial and residential fire alarm systems Strong customer service and communication skills Professional appearance, conduct, and attitude Excellent reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following: DMP Notifier FCI Gamewell Silent Knight Fire-Lite Honeywell AES Radio Resideo Security Additional experience in any of the following is also highly valued: Intrusion alarm systems Access control systems Video surveillance systems Low-voltage systems integration Electrical, IT/networking, cable, or satellite installation NICET training and/or certification Construction trades Project management #IND2
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
