Job Description Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1 (LCFPD#1), a combination career/volunteer fire department serving approximately 163 square miles in and around Troy, Missouri, is hiring a Part-Time Fire Inspector. Growth in the District has increased demand for fire and life-safety inspections, creating this new position. Reporting to the Fire Marshal, the Fire Inspector performs fire and life-safety inspections and plan reviews, providing daytime coverage. ICC/NFPA

Inspector and Plan Review certification, with a long-term path toward the full-time Fire Marshal role. Responsibilities Conduct scheduled, complaint-driven, and re-inspections of occupancies Identify and communicate code violations to owners/contractors Review construction and tenant-improvement plans for compliance Coordinate with the Fire Marshal on assignments and priorities Maintain inspection records and support performance reporting Communicate professionally with business owners, contractors, and residents Requirements Missouri Division of Fire Safety Fire Inspector I certification required, in hand at time of application Missouri Division of Fire Safety Fire Inspector II certification preferred, or to be obtained after appointment as part of ongoing professional development

ICC/NFPA

Inspector certification preferred, or to be obtained after appointment as part of ongoing professional development Plan Review certification preferred, or to be obtained after appointment as part of ongoing professional development Current, valid Missouri driver's license, clean driving record Subject to Missouri State Highway Patrol background screening and pre-employment drug screen

Schedule:

Up to 19 hours/week, not to exceed 1,000 hours/year; daytime hours
