This is a part-time payroll/W-2 position with the potential to grow into a full-time role. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must already possess BOTH of the following valid Ohio fire protection licenses: Ohio license for Pre-Engineered Fire Suppression Systems Ohio license for Portable Fire Extinguishers Applicants must also have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Please do not apply if you do not currently hold both required Ohio fire licenses. Responsibilities Inspect, test, maintain, and service pre-engineered commercial kitchen fire suppression systems Diagnose deficiencies and perform necessary repairs to suppression systems Inspect, tag, maintain, and service portable fire extinguishers Complete required inspection and service documentation accurately Identify deficiencies and communicate needed repairs or corrective actions Travel from our shop to restaurants and other commercial kitchen locations throughout Central Ohio Maintain an organized schedule and complete assigned inspections within required service dates Communicate professionally with restaurant managers, owners, and other customers Maintain service equipment, tools, tags, parts, and inspection materials Follow applicable Ohio fire codes, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards Work Style This position is best suited for someone who can work independently. The technician will be responsible for managing and scheduling their assigned inspections and service calls efficiently.

Planning your own daily and weekly route Contacting customers and scheduling inspections Managing multiple locations and due dates Working without constant supervision Keeping accurate service records Following through on jobs from scheduling through completion

Qualifications Required:

Current Ohio Pre-Engineered Fire Suppression Systems license Current Ohio Portable Fire Extinguisher license Valid driver's license Ability to travel throughout Central Ohio Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule Strong attention to detail and documentation Professional communication and customer-service skills Previous experience inspecting and servicing commercial kitchen suppression systems is strongly preferred.
