This recruitment is open to Lateral Firefighter/Paramedics who have passed probation and are currently working full-time in a professional fire agency, or who have completed two full seasons (minimum 6 months per season) as a paid seasonal firefighter two calendar years preceding QualificationsLateral ApplicantsHigh School graduate or equivalent to graduation from high school.
Valid State of California EMT-Paramedic license. Applicants with a valid National Registry EMT-Paramedic license may apply but must have a valid State of California EMT-Paramedic license by time of conditional job offer.
Passed probation and currently working as a full-time firefighter with a paid professional department or completion of two full seasons (minimum 6 months per season) as a paid seasonal firefighter two calendar years preceding State Fire Marshal Firefighter I Certification by time of conditional job offer.
Experience as a transport EMT-Paramedic.
Licensing and RequirementsValid California Class C Drive License and satisfactory driving record (by final offer)Must pass a detailed background investigation, physical and psychiatric examinationsWillingness to work 48-hour shifts, deploy on mutual aid, and meet the physical demands of the role

Annual Salary:
$129,207- $148,399
Salary Incentives:
- Company officer certification: 5%
- First Aid and CPR instructor: 4%
- Uniform allowance: $1,300 per year
- Education reimbursement: $1,200 per fiscal year
- Apparatus operator: Engineer minimum when assigned
