Job Description
Wakulla County Fire Rescue has immediate need of full-time and flex/part-time Firefighter Paramedics. This position works under the supervision of the on-duty Captain to provide fire and rescue services including emergency response, advanced pre-hospital life support, patient care and transport, rescue and extrication, structure and wildland fire suppression. Duties include the operation and maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus and equipment. Qualified applicants will possess and maintain the following training, certifications, and abilities:
- High School diploma or acceptable equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- State of Florida Paramedic Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider certification
- Florida Firefighter II Certification
- Certificate of completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)
- Certificates of completion of
FEMA IS-00100, IS-00200, IS-00700, IS-00800
Courses- Ability to pass FBI Background Check
- Ability to pass pre-employment firefighter physical and drug screening.
