Status:
Open Until Filled New Hire with AEMT or GA Firefighter Certification is $52,252.64.

Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age at time of hire. High school graduate or GED. Valid driver's license and satisfactory seven (7) year driving history including NO DUI'S or BUI'S (Boating Under the Influence) within five (5) years, or excessive violation. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Free of any felony convictions or sufficient misdemeanor convictions to evidence a pattern. Successful completion of fitness evaluation, written exam, background check including criminal and credit history and interviews. Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the position Must become certified as a Georgia Firefighter/AEMT within one year of hire. Must be able to attain status as a relief driver within two (4) years of hire
Equivalency:
Candidates that have any of the following may not need to take the
Accuplacer Exam:
AEMT/ Firefighter certification or Paramedic certification, Accuplacer Next Generation Reading, Writing & Arithmetic passing scores within the past two years. Lateral Program may be considered for candidates with a minimum of a State of Georgia Firefighter I certificate and an Advanced EMT License, or a State of Georgia Firefighter I certification and a Paramedic License.
