The Westwood Fire Department is seeking qualified and motivated Firefighter/Paramedics to join a department committed to professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional service. Whether you are an experienced firefighter/paramedic, a lateral transfer, or currently completing paramedic training, Westwood offers an outstanding opportunity to build a rewarding career in a growing community that values its public safety professionals.
COMPENSATION
Starting Firefighter/Paramedic Salary $88,689 Additional compensation opportunities include: Educational Incentive Pay $2,500 annual stipend Up to 12% educational incentive based on degree attainment Overtime Opportunities Private Detail Assignments Comprehensive Benefits Package
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Lateral firefighter/paramedic transfers Certified Paramedics with current ACLS and CPR certifications at the time of hire Massachusetts or Pro-Board Firefighter I & II certified Currently enrolled in an accredited paramedic program with anticipated completion within six months of application Candidates with diverse personal, professional, and educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
