A Firefighter responds to fire alarms and other emergency calls. Puts out fires and rescues people from buildings. Responds to medical emergencies and assists with search and rescue efforts and industrial or hazardous waste accidents. Provides fire prevention programs or inspections in the community. OF DUTIES
This position is responsible for providing services related to fire suppression, medical emergencies, hazardous materials and other natural and/or manmade emergencies, fire prevention and inspections, search and rescue, fire scene investigations, care and maintenance of departmental equipment, grounds and facilities and code compliance and enforcement.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE EXAMINATION AGE
18-32 years of age at time of appointment.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
CITIZENSHIP
U.S. Citizen or proof of intent (must be a U.S. Citizen when appointed)
