The Tacoma Fire Department is hosting two Women in the Fire Service recruiting events this fall. Each event will include an informational panel Q&A followed by a hands-on workshop with fire service equipment. We will be hosting two sessions, and e ach session will cover the same info and both will be completely free! Space is Limited to the first 85 (per session) people who sign up. Dates & Times SESSION #1: Saturday, September 19th from 9:00am - 3:00pm SESSION #2: Saturday, October 10th from 9:00am - 3:00pm Please join us in an informal and welcoming environment to: Hear from women leaders with TFD and the City of Tacoma Discuss a career in the Fire Service Learn about career advancement within the departments and beyond Hear first-hand accounts of what it's like to be a woman in the fire service Understand our hiring process, salaries, and benefits Ask questions you might otherwise be hesitant to ask Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate between hands-on stations hosted by the Fire Department and will include activities such as pulling hoses, EMS, and handling equipment.
