WHAT AWAITS YOU
Ensure compliance with ISPS, SSP, SQM, flag state, and national regulations under the supervision of the Ship Security Officer (SSO) Manage gangway operations, including access control, visitor documentation, and crew training, ensuring smooth and secure operations Operate and maintain security equipment, conduct safety drills, and report malfunctions to the Staff Captain Conduct environmental training, maintain related documentation, and oversee pest control measures in line with company standards Coordinate with port agents for waste and water management (e.g., garbage, sludge, bilge water) Maintain and train crew on Ballast Water and Garbage Management Plans; review voyage plans with environmental considerations Train crew in shipboard safety procedures according to the muster list Support risk assessments and manage work permit processes efficiently Oversee accident reporting and ensure accurate and complete documentation Provide effective onboarding, continuous training, and targeted development for crew members
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency and required STCW trainings Previous experience as a Watch Officer on board a cruise ship Highly self-motivated, resilient under pressure, and solution-oriented Structured, precise, and creative working style with strong implementation skills Demonstrates ownership and accountability across all performance areas Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
