The Opportunity DW Products is hiring a hands-on Quality Manager to own part quality, inspection discipline, CMM measurement, and customer quality performance across our precision CNC operation. This role is responsible for making sure first article, in-process, and final inspections are accurate and consistent, customer requirements are clearly understood, nonconforming parts are contained, and quality issues are resolved quickly and permanently. This is not a desk-only compliance role. The right person will be comfortable working directly with machinists, operators, engineering, production leadership, customer service, and customers to make sure parts are right, documentation is accurate, and quality issues do not repeat.

2015 compliance, documentation, corrective actions, and audit readiness are also important parts of the role, but the first priority is customer quality and part quality. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Part Quality
- Own and strengthen first article, in-process, and final inspection processes.
- Ensure parts are inspected correctly to customer drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Support shop-floor inspection activity to maintain accuracy, throughput, and accountability.
- Oversee use of inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical devices, gages, CMM, and automated gaging where applicable.
- Help determine proper inspection methods, gaging strategy, and measurement approach for new and existing parts.
- Identify and correct gaps in inspection plans, control plans, and inspection documentation.
- Support process capability checks, SPC, and reaction plans where needed. Customer Quality
- Serve as the primary owner for customer quality issues, complaints, documentation, and follow-up.
- Make sure customer quality requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally.
- Lead containment, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure of quality issues.
- Prepare or support customer quality documentation including PPAP, APQP, control plans, inspection reports, and corrective action responses.
- Support customer visits, audits, and quality reviews as needed.
- Build customer confidence by ensuring issues are handled quickly, professionally, and with strong follow-through. CMM, Measurement & Quality Systems
- Provide leadership and support for CMM inspection, programming, operation, and validation.
- Ensure measurement methods are repeatable, accurate, and aligned with customer requirements.
- Help improve inspection setup, documentation, and measurement consistency across the shop.
- Maintain practical quality procedures, work instructions, inspection records, and training documentation. ISO, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Support and maintain

2015 quality system requirements.
- Lead or support internal audits, registrar audits, and customer audits.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and CAPA closure.
- Support ITAR compliance, conflict minerals reporting, and other customer regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Track and report quality metrics, nonconformances, scrap, rework, and customer quality trends.
- Train operators and internal teams on quality requirements, inspection expectations, and documentation procedures.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to improve repeatability, reduce defects, and protect customer satisfaction. What You Bring
- Strong quality experience in precision CNC manufacturing, screw machine, Swiss machining, multi-spindle machining, or high-tolerance contract manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with part inspection, inspection planning, and shop-floor quality support.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Experience with CMM inspection, CMM programming, or CMM oversight preferred.
- Strong understanding of first article, in-process, and final inspection requirements.
- Experience handling customer quality issues, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
- Working knowledge of

2015 and audit processes.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, control plans, and process capability preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with operators, machinists, engineers, leadership, and customers.
- Organized, disciplined, and able to take ownership without needing constant direction.
- Practical mindset: able to improve quality without unnecessarily slowing production.
