Position Summary The Housing Inspector will ensure the units of applicants and participants of the Housing Choice Voucher program meet
HQS/NSPIRE
standards and remain compliant with program rules and regulations.Responsibilities:
Inspect houses and apartments for compliance under Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and/or National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) Schedule appointments and complete all assigned inspections on time and in full. Complete inspection reports electronically and create business correspondence when necessary. Respond to landlord and tenant inquiries. Manage various trackers daily of assigned inspections.Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required 3 years' experience in case management or client services in a human services environment, housing complex, or real estate organization is preferred Must have own transportation and clean driving record Must attain an HQS and/or NSPIRE certification within the first year of employment Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working well with others. Proactive, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
