Associate Attorney - Public Entity, Transactional & Litigation The Mitchell Law Firm, LLP is seeking a full-time associate attorney to support our public entity, transactional, and litigation practice groups. This position offers a varied practice serving public agencies, businesses, and other clients throughout California's North Coast. We are looking for a thoughtful, motivated attorney with strong research and writing skills, sound judgment, and an interest in developing practical solutions for clients. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of relevant experience, but recent graduates and candidates awaiting California Bar results are encouraged to apply. Experience in all three practice areas is not required. About the Work The associate will work with our attorneys on matters that may include: Advising cities, special districts, and other public entities on day-to-day legal questions, governance, and operations. Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, resolutions, and other legal documents. Assisting with business, real estate, and other transactional matters. Supporting civil litigation through legal research, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and case preparation. Communicating with clients and helping move matters forward efficiently. Assignments will reflect the firm's needs and the associate's experience and developing interests. Qualifications Admission to the California Bar, or awaiting results of the California Bar examination. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments. A collaborative approach and a commitment to responsive client service. An interest in public agency representation, transactional work, and civil litigation. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary of $80,000-$130,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
