Job Description

We are a fast-growing plaintiff-side law firm focused on personal injury and employment litigation. Our team is committed to providing exceptional advocacy and client-centered service. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Discovery Clerk to join our legal team. Prepare witness lists, trial subpoenas, and trial documents under the direction of the lead attorneys. Draft, prepare, and file complaints per attorney instructions; draft templates for motions, create declarations for motions, ex parte applications, stipulations and orders, and other pleadings Draft templates for entries of default, requests for entry of default, and statements of damages. Prepare templates for Doe amendments, Case Management Conference Statements, Notices of Settlement, Requests for Dismissal, Notices of Jury Fees. Draft templates for applications for service by publication, motions for successor in interest, and other court filings. Request, track, and organize medical records and employment records. Gather documentation for minor's compromise preparation and handle related filings. Use client communication templates to send routine letters to clients. Maintain accurate calendaring, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules. Prepare templates for discovery requests and responses including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, deposition notices and objections. Manage document production, including collection, organization, review, and production. Assist with expert exchange and manage expert discovery, including document coordination and scheduling of expert depositions. Coordinate site inspections and independent medical examinations (IMEs). Support ESI collection, organization, and production in compliance with discovery requirements provided by the attorneys. Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to support efficient case progression. Provide general litigation support to attorneys and staff as needed. Relevant experience in personal injury and/or employment law is preferred. In lieu of experience, candidates with exceptional academic backgrounds from top-tier academic institutions will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of litigation processes, including discovery and case deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a high-volume caseload. Proficiency with case management software (Casepeer, Eve, or similar) is a plus.
Pay:
$25.00 - $50.00 per hour
