This pivotal role involves managing complex legal issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguarding the company's interests through expert legal counsel. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of diverse legal areas, including corporate governance, contract law, litigation, and specialized fields such as estate planning, environmental law, securities law, and more. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive initiatives that support sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of legal integrity. Duties Lead the development and implementation of corporate legal strategies aligned with organizational goals. Oversee all aspects of legal compliance related to estate planning, environmental regulations, securities law, tribal law & regulations, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, workers' compensation law, and other relevant legal domains. Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts to protect the company's interests while fostering positive business relationships. Manage litigation processes including general & commercial litigation, personal injury cases, employment law disputes, and patent law matters. Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to inform decision-making and ensure statutory compliance. Supervise legal case management systems to track ongoing matters efficiently and ensure timely resolution. Provide expert guidance on procedural law knowledge to internal teams on various legal motions and administrative procedures. Collaborate with external counsel on specialized cases involving personal injury law, patent issues, or tribal regulations when necessary. Lead negotiations with stakeholders including regulators, partners, clients, and vendors to achieve favorable outcomes. Ensure all legal documentation adheres to high standards of clarity and precision through expert legal drafting and writing skills. Experience Extensive experience practicing corporate law with a proven track record in managing diverse legal portfolios across multiple jurisdictions. Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, environmental law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, workers' compensation law, personal injury case experience, patent law, employment law case experience, and general & commercial litigation. Strong background in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms coupled with excellent procedural knowledge of statutory laws. Proven ability to draft complex contracts and legal motions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Experience working within a fast-paced law office environment with a focus on legal case management and administrative responsibilities. Exceptional negotiation skills complemented by effective communication abilities for engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels. Prior leadership experience overseeing a team of attorneys or legal professionals is highly desirable.
