Excellent English writing skills required. Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred. Perliss Law Firm is a boutique criminal defense and immigration law firm with offices in San Gabriel, CA, Job duties include:
- Draft and/or edit letters, memorandums, affidavits, briefs, responses, and other written work; prepare work for submission to relevant legal authority
- Research aspects of criminal and immigration law and summarize findings as instructed by Attorney, screen discovery when applicable.
Necessary qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Excellent English writing skills
- Legal research ability
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work well independently and collaborate with others Strong candidates will also demonstrate:
- Bilingual ability in Chinese and English strongly preferred, or at least proficient enough to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and interpret written Chinese.
- Paralegal or legal assistant experience, and/or course work demonstrating an interest and/or knowledge of U.S. law
- Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite and Gmail/Google Calendar Other information:
- Position is full-time, work hours 9:30am-5:30pm
