Bert McDowell Injury Law, LLC Bridgeport, Connecticut Part-Time | $18•22 per hour About the Opportunity Bert McDowell Injury Law is seeking motivated law students to join our Law Clerk Program in our Bridgeport office. This is a hands-on opportunity for students who have completed at least their first year of law school and want meaningful experience in personal-injury litigation.

Our law clerks do more than observe. Working under attorney supervision, you will participate in the lifecycle of real cases and develop practical skills that will prepare you for legal practice. We offer a comprehensive training program, ongoing mentorship, and the opportunity to grow with our firm.

What You'll Learn and Do Assist with drafting complaints, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents Review medical records, accident reports, insurance documents, and case files Help prepare trial, arbitration, mediation, and deposition binders Conduct legal research and prepare concise written analyses Assist with written discovery and document production Organize evidence, exhibits, medical records, and damages documentation Support attorneys with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation Learn personal-injury case strategy from intake through resolution Gain exposure to both pre-litigation and active litigation matters Participate in structured training and receive feedback from experienced attorneys and staff What We're Looking For Current law student who has completed at least the first year of law school; 2L, 3L, 4L students are encouraged to apply Genuine interest in litigation, trial advocacy, or personal-injury law Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability Professional, dependable, and eager to learn Able to manage deadlines and multiple assignments Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced law-firm environment Able to work part-time from our Bridgeport office Why Join Bert McDowell Injury Law?
