Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join a respected and growing Connecticut law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys meaningful client interaction, litigation, and taking ownership of their cases while working alongside an experienced and collaborative legal team.
What You'll Do:
Manage a caseload of divorce and family law matters from inception through resolution Handle matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, and related family law issues Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, agreements, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and develop case strategy Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, negotiations, and other proceedings Manage discovery, including financial and document-intensive matters Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel Maintain strong, responsive communication with clients throughout their cases Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on complex and high-conflict matters
What We're Looking For:
JD from an accredited law school Active Connecticut Bar license Family law, matrimonial, or relevant civil litigation experience Courtroom and litigation experience strongly preferred Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills Professional, composed approach to sensitive and high-conflict matters Why Join Us?
