About the Role We are a growing immigration law firm based in Hollywood, FL, seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Clerk. This is an entry-level position — no prior legal experience required. We provide full training and are committed to helping the right candidate grow within our firm. Key Responsibilities Prepare, organize, and assemble immigration petitions and supporting documents for submission to USCIS and other government agencies Log, track, and follow up on filed packages, case deadlines, and USCIS correspondence in the case management system (Docketwise) Receive, scan, and upload incoming mail and correspondence to the firm's document management server Update case statuses, notice information, and client records in Docketwise on a daily basis Contact clients to inform them of updates, notices, and required documentation in a professional and timely manner Prepare physical and digital client files for new cases and transfer them to the legal team for processing Coordinate attorney signatures on contracts, petitions, and legal documents Perform translations of documents and correspondence (English/Spanish) as needed Register outgoing packages to USCIS and other agencies in the tracking and control system Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Assist with troubleshooting and basic upkeep of case management software (Docketwise) Support attorneys and paralegals with research, document retrieval, and ad hoc legal projects Process daily mail and distribute it to the appropriate team members Requirements High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is a plus No prior legal experience required — we will train the right candidate Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) — required given our client base Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Dependable, punctual, and committed to showing up in-person daily Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Any prior experience in a law firm, legal office, or administrative role Familiarity with immigration processes or USCIS (not required — we will teach you) Experience with Docketwise or any case management software Knowledge of eFiling systems and USCIS online portals Notary Public certification
Work Schedule & Environment Location:
Hollywood, FL (in-person — remote work is not available for this position)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, full-time
Compensation:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
