Accuracy matters more than speed.
ABOUT THE ROLE
De Wit Immigration Law is a boutique business-immigration firm in Miami Shores, and we are hiring a bilingual Office Coordinator to run the operational side of our office. Every petition this firm sends to the government passes through your hands before the attorney signs it. You print it, assemble it, check it against our filing checklist, scan it into the client file, and send it out by FedEx. Alongside that, you support client intake, keep our billing and invoicing current, and manage the vendors, supplies, and renewals that keep the office running. This is a role with real ownership rather than a list of assigned tasks. You would work directly with our managing attorney and legal team, and you would be trusted to run your areas without being managed through them. We are small by design, which means the work you do is visible and the decisions you make matter.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO
  • Print and assemble case filings, check each one against our filing checklist, and prepare them for the attorney's signature.
  • Scan completed filings into the client file and send them out by FedEx.
  • Collect the daily mail, scan agency correspondence, and file it in Google Drive and in the physical client file.
  • Support client intake and onboarding, from first inquiry to signed engagement.
  • Keep billing and invoicing current, and coordinate payment matters with the legal team.
  • Manage office logistics: supplies, vendors, attorney bar renewals, and subscriptions.
  • Greet visitors to the office and support our remote intake team with overflow.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • You are fully fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written. This is required.
  • You hold a bachelor's or associate's degree, preferably in law, business administration, international relations, or another relevant field.
  • You have at least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in legal, government, nonprofit, or similar roles.
  • You are comfortable with hands-on work, because case production is a substantial part of this role.
  • You work well independently and are comfortable owning an area rather than waiting to be assigned tasks.
  • You are organized, careful with details, and comfortable learning new software and office tools.
SCHEDULE AND PAY
$24 to $28 an hour, full-time and in person at our Miami Shores office.
BENEFITS
Health insurance, with the firm paying up to 99% of the employee premium on our benchmark plan. Vision coverage. A 401(k) with an employer match. 15 days of paid time off a year, plus 10 paid holidays and a paid day off on your birthday.
