Job Description

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a rising second/third year law student with a strong academic record and a keen interest in property/casualty, maritime, insurance coverage, worker's compemployers' liability. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various legal issues. Assist in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations. Review and analyze case files, evidence, and other relevant documents. Attend and take notes at depositions, court hearings, and trials. Support attorneys in trial preparation and case management. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and document organization. Engage in professional development activities and networking opportunities provided by the firm.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school and have completed at least one year of coursework. Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Prior legal experience or coursework in specific area of law is a plus but not required.
