Position Overview An established and growing Baton Rouge law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney - Associate to help expand its developing employment law practice. This is an opportunity for an attorney who is confident handling employment matters, enjoys building cases from the initial client consultation through resolution, and wants to directly participate in the growth of a practice area. The ideal candidate will have meaningful employment law experience and be comfortable independently evaluating potential claims, developing case strategy, negotiating resolutions, and managing matters through litigation when necessary. This position offers significant professional autonomy and earning potential for an attorney who is motivated by results and interested in growing with the firm. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate prospective employment law claims and determine case viability
• Conduct attorney-level consultations with potential clients
• Develop employment claims from intake through resolution
• Handle EEOC matters, administrative claims, and related proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and settlement demands
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations
• Manage an employment law caseload with appropriate attorney oversight
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, agencies, and courts
• Identify opportunities for early resolution and pre-litigation settlement
• Assist with other litigation matters as needed
• Help develop internal processes as the firm's employment law practice continues to grow Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Louisiana State Bar
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with substantial employment law experience strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating and developing employment-related claims
• Knowledge of federal and Louisiana employment laws
• Experience with EEOC claims and administrative procedures
• Strong litigation, legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
• Ability to independently manage matters and deadlines
• Strong judgment and client communication skills
• Experience resolving cases through negotiation, mediation, or settlement

Compensation Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus significant performance-based incentive compensation and fee-sharing opportunities.
