You'll gain invaluable hands-on litigation experience, working side by side with seasoned attorneys in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. We focus on Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA employer representation, and industrial insurance litigation. As a Law Clerk, you'll be instrumental in conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing cases, and supporting all phases of litigation. Compensation:
$65,000 - $80,000 dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough legal research to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy development. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Assist in managing case files, organizing documents, and maintaining detailed records to facilitate efficient case handling. Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions, contributing to the development of compelling arguments. Analyze and summarize case law, statutes, and regulations to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and clarity throughout the legal process. Support the team in all phases of litigation, from discovery to trial, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of tasks.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree. Must be currently in law school or have graduated from law school.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Time Management:
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Legal Knowledge:
Basic understanding of the legal system and legal terminology. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients. Daily use of the electronic case management system, Filevine, to keep case files organized and up to date. Be passionate about the practice of law and strive to exemplify the highest levels of respect and performance. This is an in-office position, so you must reside in the Southern Nevada area.
