Competitive Pay & Benefits! Job Description What you will be doing: Manage a full caseload of family law matters from initial consultation through resolution and trial. Handle divorce and other family law matters independently, with the ability to hit the ground running and manage an existing caseload. Meet with clients to evaluate legal issues, develop case strategies, and provide ongoing legal counsel. Draft and review pleadings, petitions, motions, declarations, settlement agreements, discovery, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies. Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings. Handle depositions and other litigation-related proceedings. Prepare cases for trial and serve as lead or supporting counsel during trial. Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and achieve favorable client outcomes.

Experience you will need:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar, or ability to obtain admission promptly. Minimum of 3 years of recent, dedicated Family Law experience; 3-7 years is preferred. Strong experience handling divorce and other family law matters, including hearings and trials. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a family law caseload and work with minimal supervision. Strong courtroom, litigation, negotiation, and client counseling skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, time-management, and case management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing a significant caseload. Attorneys with more than 7 years of experience are welcome to apply if they have strong, recent Family Law experience and are able to manage cases independently.
