Job Description
Job Summary Job Title Facilitate the justice process by conducting investigations into serious crimes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducts investigations of serious crimes, including those committed against children, homicides and aggravated assaults with serious physical injuries or weapon involvement.
- 30% Conducts interviews with witnesses, victims, and suspects to compile usable information for completion of investigation.
- 20% Collects and preserves all possible evidence; writes search warrants and photographs scenes.
- 10% Maintains contact with deputies and other law enforcement agencies/officers to draw on information and compare to own investigations.
- 10% Maintains contact and positive working relationship with County Attorney and related investigators.
- 10% Writes complete and concise reports for investigations.
- 10% Inspects pawn shops and performs patrol duties.
- 10% Performs other duties as assigned.
