$110,115 - $126,663Position Summary:
The Idaho Springs Police Department is seeking candidates for the patrol sergeant position. We value leadership competencies such as integrity/credibility, ethical decision-making, coaching/mentoring, strong communication skills, accountability, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, team-building, and leading by example.Requirements:
- Current sworn police officer/supervisor in good standing
- POST certification (or equivalent state certification)
- 5 years of full-time law enforcement experience
- Successful completion of the promotional process
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
- Colorado Driver's License (or obtained when hired)
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage critical incidents
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior law enforcement supervisory experience
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field
- Instructor certifications
- Advanced POST or supervisory/leadership training
