Deputy Sheriff - Recruit
JOB INFORMATION
Non-exempt (compensatory and/or overtime eligible); full-time; 40 hours per week (varied schedule); full benefits This sworn professional position provides a full range of law enforcement services to Frederick County through community oriented and team management approaches. General supervision is provided through the chain of command; however Deputies must frequently exercise independent judgment and administrative discretion. TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • 11 days of Vacation leave with increase after 2 years of employment

Rotating assignments may include vehicle patrol, investigations and testimony, traffic control, prisoner transport, emergency response, court security, search and seizure, civil process, training and guidance of junior officers, community awareness, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
