$54,079.00

Essential Functions:
On an assigned shift, operates a patrol car to observe violations of laws, suspicious activities or persons and disturbances of law and order. Responds to radio dispatches and answers calls and complaints. Serves warrants, summons, subpoenas, capiases, court orders, notices, attachments, claims and deliveries, ejections, executions, and other legal papers, makes arrests. Testifies in court. Assists in domestic disputes. Directs traffic for funerals and other public gatherings. Assists other law enforcement officers in investigations. Serves as court bailiff and prisoner guard. Reports unsafe conditions existing in the street or other public facilities. Assists with criminal investigations by presenting evidence, interviewing victims and witnesses, prepares property and evidence, recording and issuing of evidence in court cases. Transport prisoners, mental patients and others as required. Performs Bailiff and court security duties as assigned. Prepares detailed reports. Performs related tasks as required.
Requirements:
Most have a current NC Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification. Must have or be able to obtain a North Carolina driver's license. Must not have been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor. Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, which includes holidays and weekends.
