Deputy Sheriff
Physical Requirements Applicants must have the ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods of time, exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of walking, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling and may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight.
Education, Training and Experience Graduation from high school documented by a diploma or transcript. Applicant must possess a certificate of graduation from Basic Law Enforcement Training (B.L.E.T.) Previous years of experience in law enforcement will be recognized when establishing salary. Starting annual salary for this position is $44,493 and will be $2,000 more annually if applicant holds an Associate's Degree and $4,000 more annually if applicant holds a Bachelor's Degree.
