Job Description
The Gallia County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a hiring process for a specialized position of Detective assigned to work investigations of adult protective and child protective services. The current rate of pay for this position is $26.33 until January 1, 2027, at which time the rate of pay will increase.
To apply you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Be certified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission
- Have a valid Ohio Driver's License
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years full time law enforcement experience
- Preferred experience in investigations
