Grant Title N/A Job Description Summary / TWC Summary Under general supervision supervises and coordinates activities of law enforcement personnel on an assigned shift or area to ensure the protection, safety, and welfare of students, staff, and visitors and the protection of University property. Police Officer "Certification Pay" Intermediate $1,200 annually Advanced $2,400 annually Master $4,800 annuallyADDITIONAL COMPENSATION AND INCENTIVES
: Tuition reimbursement for up to 6 hours per semester to attend classes at Texas Southern University. Minimum passing grade of "C" and the ability to maintain a GPA of 2.0 is required for reimbursement.Years of Service:
$6,000- (0-3 years) Total police experience (excluding corrections, armed security, military police) $9,000
- (4-9 years) Total police experience (excluding corrections, armed security, military police) $12,000

Work Experience Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system. Working/Environmental Conditions Standing and/or walking. Handling light weight objects. Using or carrying equipment. Stoop, bend, or lift. May require routine travel. Work involves strenuous physical activities of various kinds with continuous exposure to hazardous substances, potentially dangerous situations, unpleasant work conditions such as adverse weather conditions or extreme risk of accident or ill health.
