- University Police Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, three years of experience as a Police Officer, completion of the State of Alabama Police Officer Standards and Training, must meet the minimum standards set by the state of Alabama for a Police Officer, possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a driving records sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama and satisfactory completion of a drug/alcohol and psychological screenings required prior to employment.
