Duties Help This position is loced the 162D, in Tucson Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct formal comb arms training and maintenance activities for the Security Forces Squadron and tenant personnel. Control and opere firing ranges; inspect, repair, and maintain ground weapons. To enforce law, maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the jurisdiction of the military installion. To oversee the work activities of Drill Stus Guardsmen (DSG) assigned to the Security Forces Comb Arms function.

ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air Nional Guard, in a military position assigned to 162D. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. The work requires a valid driver's license and the incumbent must be able to opere all Security Forces Vehicles and installed equipment. Incumbent must be qualified in the use of required weapons, as the incumbent required to use firearms in performing duties. Irregular and/or overtime (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies . Position is UTC tasked and is subject to roting shifts, weekends, and holidays. May be required to wear special protective clothing such as cos, boots, vests, respiror masks, and/or helmets. Must undergo initial and periodic job compibility assessments. Must obtain and maintain first responder training/certificions required in CPR techniques, self-aid buddy care, and first aid on the job and maintain annually. This is a Testing Designed Position TDP. The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participion in random drug testing is a condition of employment. Qualifying general experience includes experience in administrive, clerical, technical, or military work th involved protecting property, equipment, da, or merials; or th involved making judgments based on the applicion of directions, rules, regulions, or laws.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Must possess least 1 year equivalent to least next lower grade level experience th provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulions, law enforcement operions, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing or protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other nural resource or recreional environments; in performing criminal investigive duties; or in other work th provided the required knowledge and skills.
