Full Time Basalt, CO Basalt Police Department Position Summary:
The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for Police Officer I position. This is an entry level sworn position with certification or for those looking to attend the local police academy seeking a career in law enforcement. The Police Officer I works under the direction of the supervisory personnel and protects the lives, safety, health, welfare and property of individuals within the Town limits by enforcing municipal, state and federal ordinances, statutes and laws. Incumbents may be assigned to the Patrol Division, Investigations Division, and/or any special assignments necessary to protect and serve the needs of individuals relating to law enforcement.
Requirements:
Must have or able to receive a Colorado Peace Officer Certification. High School graduate o or GED Equivalent, US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States, A valid Colorado driver's license, Free of felony convictions required. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be certified or certifiable by the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (POST).
