Position Summary:

The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for Police Officer II position. This is an experienced level sworn position with additional responsibility to provide direction and leadership to Police Officer I and provides supervision in the absence of immediate supervisor. The Police Officer II works under the direction of the supervisory personnel and protects the lives, safety, health, welfare and property of individuals within the Town limits by enforcing municipal, state and federal ordinances, statutes and laws. Incumbents may be assigned to the Patrol Division, Investigations Division, and/or any special assignments necessary to protect and serve the needs of individuals relating to law enforcement.

Requirements:

Must have or able to receive a Colorado Peace Officer Certification. High School graduate o or GED Equivalent, US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States, A valid Colorado driver's license, free of felony convictions required.
