Nationals Ballpark Position:
Part-Time events, must be available to work various shifts, nights, and weekends. Must possess a current DC Special Police Officer certification to apply.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Valentis Special Police Officers (SPO) are responsible for providing special police officer services at Washington Nationals Ballpark, supporting entry/access services, and conducting random foot patrols in and around the specific site area. SPOs may be required to respond to incidents and other situations as needed. The SPO is responsible for identifying and handling security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and/or other emergency situations. Working environments and conditions may vary based on the climate seasons.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a valid current driver's license and a clean driving record. A minimum educational level of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple assignments, and write effective, concise, and legible reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Static post assignments are required to ensure the safety and security of the client, their staff, and fans. Proactively engages in security performance duties for maximum visibility and threat deterrence. Accomplishes specific work tasks on site to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of duty assignments. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed, and provides data to appropriate personnel. Exhibits the ability to professionally interact with all individuals in a courteous manner and is able to de-escalate potentially unsafe, hostile situations. Performs tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
Compensation :
