The Ocean View Police Department is committed to working in partnership with the Community, to improve the quality of life in the Town of Ocean View. The Department serves the people of Ocean View by fulfilling its obligations to the community in a manner consistent with the Law Enforcement Officer Code of Ethics. The Department protects the constitutionally guaranteed right of every person within its jurisdiction to be secure in their person and property, and to live in peace. This is accomplished through the effective and efficient utilization of all available personnel and resources. The Department recognizes the value and importance of its employees, and will ensure that all employees are treated equitably and fairly. The Department is committed to providing its members with the quality of leadership, training and equipment necessary to perform its mission. Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package OVPD provides a competitive compensation package that includes:
Entry-Level Salary:
$65,000 beginning the day you start the academy Pay increase upon completion of field training post-academy
Lateral Transfer Salary:
$65,000 - $104,00•Dependent upon prior experience

Take-Home Vehicle:
Officers may benefit from the take-home vehicle policy.
Overtime Opportunities:

Shift Schedule:
12-hour shifts with every other weekend off.

FOP Membership:
Officers are part of the FOP Lodge 16 Essential Qualifications for Ocean View Police Department Candidates Prospective applicants must meet the following qualifications: 21 Years of Age Vision Correctable to 20/20
No Felony Convictions United States Citizen Valid Driver's License High School Diploma or GED Job Type:
