5,400 Position Details Applicants must meet the following standards: Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Possess a valid State of Illinois driver's license. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. Possess no prior felony convictions or other crimes of moral turpitude. Pass a psychological examination and a polygraph examination. Pass a medical examination and drug screening test. Be medically fit to perform the job functions of a police officer. Pass a background check. Must be currently certified as a police officer (full-time or part-time) in accordance with the Illinois Police Training Act (50 ILCS 705).
