$1,250 annual uniform allowance after 1 year of employment

Vacation accrual of 80 hours in year one (beginning after 6 months) with accruals increasing each year and topping out at 240 hours after 15 years of service

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications & requirements at the time of application:

Applicants must be currently certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

Applicants must be currently working as a full-time Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Illinois and have a minimum of two (2) years of

FULL-TIME

service with their current employer.

Applicants must consent to the release of their entire personnel file from all prior employers and must disclose all adverse personnel matters, including any disciplinary, last chance or similar agreements, letters of reprimand and sealed files.

Applicants must be citizens of the United States and/or an alien admitted for permanent residence or lawfully admitted for temporary residence and who produces evidence of intention to become a citizen of the United States. In addition, an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law or is an individual against whom immigration action has been deferred by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) process is authorized to apply for the position of police officer, subject to (i) all requirements and limitations, other that citizenship, to which other applicants are subject and (ii) the individual being authorized under federal law to obtain, carry, or purchase or otherwise possess a firearm.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license.

Applicants must have a valid FOID card or be legally capable of obtaining a valid FOID card upon hire
