A Law Enforcement Officer enforces jurisdictional laws, maintains public safety, and protects property and people in the community. Patrols neighborhoods, responds to emergency calls and crime scenes, watches for traffic and driving violations. Authorized to arrest criminals; prepares cases and testifies in court.

Job Summary and Requirements:
The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations. The role also requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; move throughout the classroom and school; and lift and carry materials or equipment weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol school campuses and facilities to ensure safety and security. Respond to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, and criminal incidents. Enforce local, state, and federal laws as well as school policies. Conduct investigations and prepare reports on incidents. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community organizations. Provide safety education and crime-prevention programs. Monitor campus access and assist with traffic and crowd control. Support students through mentoring and conflict resolution efforts.
Qualifications:
Valid certificate, Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Tier 1 certification. Prefer relevant experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is based on experience and certification.
