Responsibilities Patrol designated neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces to deter crime and ensure community safety. Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, disturbances, and other incidents requiring law enforcement intervention. Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and documenting findings accurately. Enforce traffic laws through traffic stops, citations, and accident investigations while ensuring safe vehicle operation. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, arrests, investigations, and daily activities to maintain clear records. Apply arrest procedures in accordance with legal standards while managing conflict situations with professionalism and restraint. Utilize surveillance techniques and evidence law knowledge to support ongoing investigations and crime prevention efforts. Qualifications Valid law enforcement certification or equivalent training recognized by local authorities. Demonstrated knowledge of criminal law, procedural law, search and seizure laws, and local ordinances. Experience with report writing, evidence handling, and criminal investigation procedures. Proficiency in standard passenger car operation along with safe driving practices; experience with firearms handling in law enforcement is preferred. Strong physical conditioning to meet the demands of patrol duties; ability to perform first aid protocols including CPR when necessary. Skills in conflict management, use of force training, and effective communication during high-stress situations.

Pay:

$63,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
