POLICE OFFICER
(ACADEMY
TRAINED / POST CERTIFIED

CONCORD, MA
The Town of Concord is seeking candidates with excellent problem solving and communication skills to join our exceptional public safety team as Police Officers. Our community-oriented policing policy is committed to accountability, customer service, ethical action, excellence and teamwork. We currently have two (2) openings within the department. Applicants must have received certification from (or be currently attending) a full-time police officer training academy recognized by the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) .
Out-of-State applicants:
contact MPTC for eligibility requirements (Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC). Position requires equivalent to 2 years of college; Bachelor's degree in related field or public safety experience preferred. Must have ability to obtain & maintain MA License to Carry Firearms and be eligible for POST certification.
Salary range:
$35.70 to $40.84 per hour ($74,265.96 to $84,954.06 annually) , based on qualifications and experience. Additional pays/stipends including educational incentive, shift differentials for evening/nighttime shifts, an annual clothing allowance, specialty pay for certain positions and longevity payments. All applicants will be notified of their standing in the process as soon as a decision has been made regarding their individual application Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 41, Section 101A, individuals appointed as police officers must comply with all eligibility requirements outlined in the statute. Continued compliance is a condition of employment. Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including criminal, motor vehicle and credit record checks, a physical exam, a drug screening, and a thorough background investigation.
