Full Time Wayland, MI Wayland Police Department Position Summary:
The City of Wayland Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer position. Candidates should be MCOLES certifiable or currently employed as law enforcement officers with all required MCOLES certifications. Academy sponsorships are also available upon discretion. Applicants must successfully complete the pre-employment screening process. Those working outside of Michigan are also encouraged to apply and must be eligible to complete the MCOLES Recognition of Prior Training and Experience Program. Candidates with prior law enforcement experience may be eligible for a higher starting wage (lateral transfer).Requirements:
- Must be MCOLES licensed or eligible for licensing in the State of Michigan.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- No Felony convictions.
- Possess a valid State of Michigan Operator's License.
- Must pass an interview, background investigation, physical examination, drug screening, and psychological examination.
