Job Description

The City of Branson is seeking exceptional, dedicated, and motivated individuals for the position of Police Officer. This is a P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement role, ideal for candidates eager to serve and protect the community.

Fully Equipped :
Officers receive all necessary equipment including uniform, duty belt, ballistic vest, duty pistol, and ammunition, ensuring readiness for duty at all times.
Clothing/Equipment Allowance:
Receive a $700 per year allowance for clothing and equipment, enabling you to maintain professional attire and gear.
Officer Rifle Purchase Program :

OUR REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High School diploma or GED equivalent Successful completion of a Certified Law Enforcement Academy Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri P.O.S.T. Certificate as a condition of employment •Candidates with certifications from other states will be allowed 30 days to receive P.O.S.T. Certification in the state of Missouri after the offer of employment is made
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE THAT WILL SET YOU APART FROM OTHER CANDIDATES
Two (2) years of experience in a similar or larger sized agency
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of employment. Vision must be correctable to 20/40 and pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings, a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and medical/physical examinations. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting hourly wage is $23.76 per hour and will increase to $24.71 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. Experienced lateral hires can earn between $53,000.00 - $59,000.00 annually depending on qualifications and experience. Please click HERE for compensation/benefits information.

In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
