Job Description

Overview:
The Red Lodge Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer. We are a proactive agency dedicated to community policing, crime prevention, and public safety in the beautiful community of Red Lodge, Montana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime Respond promptly to calls for service and emergencies Investigate crimes, accidents, and incidents Enforce traffic laws and conduct traffic stops Engage with the community through outreach and education programs Collaborate effectively with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records Testify in court as required Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age Possess a valid Montana driver's license or be eligible to transfer one from another state Ability to work well with local, state, and federal agencies Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check (no felony or misdemeanor convictions that disqualify) Pass medical examination, physical abilities test, and psychological evaluation (if conditional offer extended after oral board) About the
