Job Description
The Town of Pittsburg is currently seeking a certified full-time police officer (40 hours a week) to fill a vacancy within the Town's Police Department. This position includes benefits. The Town of Pittsburg will also consider certified part-time police officer(s), who will commit to working 16-24 hours a week, to fill a vacancy within the Town's Police Department. All candidates must possess good writing, comprehension, and communication skills, along with a desire to work for the people of the Town of Pittsburg. Candidates will be required to pass a physical fitness test, oral board interview(s), physical/medical examination, polygraph examination, and extensive background investigation. The salary for the certified full-time police officer starting at $60,000 depending on qualifications. The salary for the certified part-time police officer(s) starting at $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
