Starting pay $24.00 - $27.50
Benefits:

We are looking for a dedicated Police Officer who will demonstrate the highest of integrity to ensure that this mission is fulfilled.
Role Overview:
Our police officers patrol the streets and enforce the local ordinances as well as the Ohio Revised Code. Each shift only operates with one officer on duty. If additional assistance is needed, we depend upon the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office to assist.
Core Responsibilities:
Protecting the
Public:
Ensuring the safety of individuals and property Responding to emergencies and providing assistance Maintaining order and preventing crime
Enforcing Laws:
Patrolling designated areas and observing activities Responding to calls from the public, including emergency and non-emergency situations Conducting traffic control and enforcement Arresting suspected criminals Issuing citations or warnings
Investigating Crimes:
Conducting preliminary investigations and collecting evidence Interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects Gathering and logging evidence Writing detailed reports Preparing and providing accurate reports documenting incidents and activities Testifying in court when needed
Community Engagement:
Fostering positive relationships with the public Providing advice and reassurance to the public Participating in community safety programs Working with other police department units
