Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated law enforcement team as a Part-Time Certified Police Officer! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in maintaining safety, enforcing laws, and providing exceptional community service. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, criminal investigation, and conflict management will help create a secure environment for all. Duties Enforce local laws, ordinances, traffic regulations, and criminal statutes to ensure community safety. Conduct patrols using standard passenger vehicles to monitor assigned areas and deter unlawful activity. Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and public safety concerns with professionalism and urgency. Perform search and seizure operations following procedural law and evidence collection protocols. Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, investigations, and other law enforcement activities. Engage in criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing information. Manage conflict situations effectively using use of force training and conflict resolution techniques. Handle evidence law compliance, firearms handling in law enforcement scenarios, and first aid procedures such as CPR and first aid protocols. Conduct surveillance activities to monitor suspicious behavior or criminal activity discreetly. Assist with animal handling when necessary and support loss prevention or security efforts as assigned. Requirements Valid certification as a police officer with current active status. Demonstrated knowledge of procedural law, criminal law experience, criminal investigation techniques, and arrest procedures. Strong understanding of traffic laws, law enforcement practices, search and seizure law, and local ordinances. Physical conditioning sufficient for patrol duties, including driving skills for standard passenger cars. Experience with firearms handling in law enforcement settings and use of force training. Ability to write clear, comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records of activities. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Knowledge of immigration law, animal care procedures when applicable, and security protocols. Additional preferred qualifications include military experience, leadership qualities, surveillance expertise, CPR certification, first aid training (including first aid protocols), evidence collection skills, and familiarity with criminal procedure laws. Pay:
$24.72 - $26.78 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 15.0 per week
