POSITION INFORMATION

Position summary: The Lieutenant is a leadership role which is responsible for overall Protection Services administrative operations. The Lieutenant's role focuses on law enforcement and he/she must have a high level of competency to make independent decisions in crisis situations. The Lieutenant is also responsible for all security systems to include administrator for CCTV, Card Access, Fingerprinting, Private Investigator Security Guard (PISG), Lawson, Fire System, Cerner (UDS Billing), SWG Safe app and emergency notification system, Radio Communications including the MARCS radio, and Database management. The Lieutenant is additionally responsible for providing armed safety and security for the buildings / grounds, and for all patients, visitors, employees, volunteers and physicians on property owned and operated by Southwest General.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent, Associates degree preferred. Must have completed OPOTA (Ohio Basic Peace Officer Training Academy). Required length and type of experience: A minimum of five years of security or law enforcement experience. Candidates must have a commission from a law enforcement agency (Protection Services or other agency). Must have a high level of competency and experience with security systems (i.e. CCTV, Card Access, etc.) Required licensure, certification or registry: OPOTA Certificate, Firearms Certificate, ability to be licensed by PISG / Department of Homeland Security
