Description Duties 1. Performs the full spectrum of police officer duties within the assigned jurisdictions: Incumbent has full powers of apprehension and detention, which entails carrying a firearm, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations within assigned jurisdiction. 2.
Conducts Investigations/Surveillance:
Conducts investigations of crimes and complaints covering a wide range of subjects and allegations that are not within the scope of Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) or the scope of the higher-level detectives assigned to the Squadron. Complaints range from simple inquiries to incidents/complaints requiring investigations that are relatively short in duration and end with the detention of a suspect. 3. Performs as Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC)
Controller:
Serves as the primary command and control (C2) function for all Integrated Defense forces. 4. Performs emergency response and incident command and control: Acts as the initial on scene commander for significant and catastrophic events (e.g. active shooter, terrorist attacks, and natural disasters) and initiates Air Force Incident Management System (AFIMS).
